actually i wrote one whole paragraph of stuff meant fer this entry but lady luck seemed to be playing some sort of sadistic prank cuz my pc suddenly hanged & obliterated evrything which i had written. my pc is certainly going bonkers this past week; it's more temperamental than a christinaAguilera on a heavy day if u get wad i mean.. but Hey, i've got nuthing against xtina at all; in fact, i'm constantly in awe of her talent~ not only can she belt out a tune better than any other singer frm her generation, she's got oodles of chutzpah too! more than enuff to hold her own against a squad of whispery britneys... LOL. speaking of britney, the former squeaky-clean pop princess had collaborated wif the grandmama diva herself, madonna, to release an irresistible dance single, me against the music. granted, the aforesaid song does not break any new ground musically or otherwise fer our miss spears, it does however, contain some mighty nifty grooves which could make it a cool hit on the dancefloor (ala i'mAslave4you glory days). her new kohl-eyed look perhaps, is a tad too much fer me. i've never been a britney lobbyist & will NEVER be one.. heck, i dont even have a single britney mp3 on my pc (except fer me Against the music that is ;p ) and such lame endeavours to evolve into a smouldering temptress in order to revitalise a flagging singing career is NOT gonna win her any extra brownie points! bleargh! ;p
actually, britney-bashing aside, i have been feeling pretty angsty these past few days... thus explaining my unexpected sabbatical frm blog... i guess i needed the time-off to re-evaluate certain aspects of my life before i cud trust myself to writing about my life, my feelings & emotions again. it's hard. i have been directionless fer so long now... & a lack of external guidance does not help. perhaps that is why i sumtimes juz park myself fer hours on end in irc.. or just surf the worldwideweb pointlessly... i need to be inspired~ and stealing a line frm a local show, in short, i'm in search of a muse. LOL

the above are extracts frm a couple of irc conversations i had recently. very run-of-the-mill i suppose but it exposes some very tragic realities about the online community here in singapore. in a weird, morbid way, its kinda funny too... this obsession wif looks & sex is prevalent in all forms of media & permeates all levels of society albeit in varying degrees. but frankly speaking, in the words of evanescence's amy lee.. "i'm so tired of being here... " (frm my immortal)
but let's try to be more positive shall we?? ;-)
5 things i should be thankful about this week;
1) my older bro is getting better
2) my mom is a great cook
3) my sis-in-law is a great cook
4) i can still use kazaa to download videos (movies, mtvs & porn! ;p )
5) i still have a handful of dear, dear friends!
