was watching moulin rouge again while having lunch just now. i juz realised how much i detest ewan mcgregor's character... that insufferable idiot just don't know when to give it up!! anyhow, baz luhrman is so bloordy talented and i was so moved during the last climatic scene when ewan uttered "I have paid for my whore!" *sniff sniff* almost had to reach out for the tissue box~ NOT!! LOL
saddam hussein has been captured; his new look replete wif white beard, craggy forehead and bushy eyebrows is plastered all over the papers and all news-oriented websites today. His arrest is surely the biggest piece of news to adorn headlines since... china sent a man to space. ;-) Anyway, saddam looks almost fatherly right now and i wont be surprised if he becomes the next mascot fer christmas at walmart or sumthing. Give him a red sack wif matching suit and hat and he's the splitting image of St. Nick... Hohoho! But seriously, that man deserves some credit for having successfully hidden frm US forces for this long. i suppose he couldnt have served as a dictator for donkey years wifout having picked up a sneaky trick or two. Yet i can just imagine what a pitiful & forlorn creature he must seem like right now; Once upon a time, he was someone who could inspire both fear and respect simultaneously... oh well.. "sepandai-pandai tupai melompat, akhirnya jatuh ke tanah juga" so goes that malay peribahasa (i.e saying).
back to moulin rouge: i used to be so crazy over this show. nicole kidman is simply STUNNING though i've always felt she's abit too willowy for ewan mcgregor. But then, they make such a cute couple it's so easy to believe that true love DOES exist in this world.. or at least in the movies. *haiz* the greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return... Or so says the magical sitar that only speaks the truth! LOL
