merry christmas. . .

i actually woke up around 8am juz now but was feeling so dazed that i decided to get another couple of hours of sleep.. Now, a couple of hours of sleep later, i think perhaps i've slept too much... Hahha. i'm such an idiot~ i juz resolved last night to wake up abit early today but i forgot all about it! ;p

But then I had a very tiring day yesterday & i know explanations are in order but before that, let me do a quick run-down of the past couple of days since i last blogged (it's as much for my own benefit as for my blog readers).

on tuesday, went down to sgh wif my bro fer his mandatory, specialist appointment & though we were a leetle late, (having arrived at 245pm when it's a 250pm appointment) we didnt have to wait very long to see the doctor. Normally, this sort of thing would have us waiting fer over an hour, at the very least. Well anyway, evrything was done by 5pm & thereafter, i went down to east coast park fer my fren's birthday barbeque. A couple of other frens & i shared for his gift; 2 boxes of french chocolates which i bought from carrefour, costing me fifteen bucks altogether... i further deliberated over getting a giftbag to put the chocolates in but eventually decided against it because it would have required me to fork out another couple of bucks. LOL HEy~ i'm not THat selfish but i'm not really close to the bday fella anyway~ ;P We reached the bbq pit around 7pm but to our utter amazement, the fire fer the barbeque wasnt even started yet! so naturally, being the good samaritans we all were, we practically rolled up our sleeves & did the dirrty work. Errm.. i didnt do much though cuz i'm terribly useless at bbqs. ;) But what really impressed me was the east coast mcdonald's; it had undergone a major revamp & it's pretty chic now, complete with a lane leading up to the counter for bladers & funky colored seats in the interior. There's also a connecting McCafe outlet whose posh ambiance and more affordable prices could undoubtedly give coffeebean a good run for its money. East coast is such a happening place now.. makes me almost wish that i was living juz across the highway or sumthing... then perhaps i could hang out there evry other day to check out the cool babes & hunks teeming all over the place. ;P

wednesday was xmas eve & i originally planned to catch LOTR3 at either GV marina or suntec wif faizal but despite having arrived a couple of hours earlier than the showtimes, we failed to get any tickets! *sobsob* i was VERY disappointed of course because i'm secretly crazy over frodo & his buddies but then i'd rather watch the movie on some other day rather than settle fer a seat by the side that's two rows away frm the screen (or that sort of thing); i'd have a major neck cramp if i did. Anyway, yahoo movies stated that the movie chalks up a total duration of 3hours and 30 minutes and to last That long, i realized that i would need darn good & comfy seats~! So after swallowing my bitter disappointment, we wended our way to the furniture mall to windowshop & frankly, the shops there reminded me of IMM. but i could take only so much of furniture-gazing fer one day and thus by 8pm, we were well on our way back to the west... seriously though, hanging out at jurong point isnt such a bad thing to do on xmas eve afterall.. haha.

yesterday, my family & I had a little excursion to the Singapore Zoological gardens. however, i didnt really enjoy it much becuz 1. i was too tired frm lack of sleep the night before, 2. the zoo was too crowded with holiday visitors fer my taste. It seemed more like an amusement park than anything else... Honestly, i would have had a marvellous time if only i didnt have to crane my neck & squeeze past people at every other exhibit. Now why cant these folks be more reasonable & stay home on xmas day??? ;p After we got back home shortly after 4pm, my mom wondered aloud where the giraffes went (they werent anywhere to be found & werent listed on the complimentary zoo map)... perhaps they've been fed to the lions as a means of saving costs in these times of economic downturn. LOL. Anyhow, i was planning to watch "the muppets christmas carol" (i've always been a huge fan of kermit) on television but i had so much difficulty keeping my eyes open that i decided to juz lie in bed... and thus i slept all the way til after 9pm!

And THAT was how i spent christmas this year!
