*haiz* it's been a pretty uneventful week but i'm glad that i'm able to blog again and surf blogsites. i think this must have been the most miserable week in 2004 so far... haha (but i'm sure sumthing more depressing will top it off). Losing my ability to express myself here is like losing an essential limb; i feel so helpless wifout it.
needless to say, i've finally made that fonecall to the singnet technical helpdesk and they wud look into the matter; seems that singnet must have accidentally blocked off access to all sites that end wif 'blogspot.com' and it's a wonder that no one else has brought it to their attention & have it resolved! Well, i'm just sooo relieved that it's all over for now but full of contrition that i didnt call them much earlier in the week! it would have saved me a whole lot of trouble & worries (i spent a couple of hours last nite re-installing my modem & browser last nite thinking that the problem lies wif them...).
however, this has taught me an invaluable lesson at least. IN fact, i've learnt TWO things;
1. to always take the initiative to solve my problems, instead of waiting for a miracle to happen.
2. that the singnet technical helpdesk is NOT a 24-hour service... they end at midnight mondays to sundays and even on public holidays! but that isnt too bad actually... LOL
on a parting note, i'm totally in LUURVVEE wif the new nelly furtado song, powerless. i've never been much of a fan cuz i detested her previous works and dismissed them as infantile rubbish but her new sophomore album, the aptly titled folklore is simply awesome~!! it's full of exotic, caribbean folk rhythms interspliced wif contemporary beats and it's done wif such panache that i'm sure she'll attract a new & more adult fanbase... nelly furtado proves that she has matured but let's just hope her new musical direction will garner her a couple of grammy nods. ;-)
