i'm definitely SICK; i've got all the symptoms. Headache, runny nose, sore throat, dry cough... havent checked my temperature yet though, but i dont think i've got a fever. Hope i wont spread it to my little nieces.. the littlest one already has a sniffly nose (& she looks even more adorable wif a red nose). However, i guess i would fall sick inevitably cuz my mom already had all those symptoms since late last week... and god no, i'm not blaming my mom~! haha... bytheway, she just celebrated her (fiftieth??) birthday and we had durian cake last nite. hey wait a minute; THAT durian cake must have been the catalyst to my sickness!!! DAmn durians have always been my number one nemesis, dontchaknow??? LOL ~ wadever lah duanduan!
but there's a silver lining to my illness; was finally able to sleep at a humane hour last nite.. & thus able to wake up around 10am today... That's quite a mean feat for me, i must say~! i think the change in weather must have attributed to the recent wave in sick pple; after such a dry & hot spell, it actually rained for most of yesterday. & it was pretty heavy too. today was no better & judging frm the weather forecast, we shud be expecting showers on most days for the rest of the week... therefore, suntanning yourself at the beach & other outdoor activities are definitely NOT advisable for this upcoming long weekend. So better get your brollies ready, evryone!! LOL
Still, a sniffly nose & sore throat are miles better than the recent health hazards spreading across other parts of Asia. What wif resurgent reports of SARs in china, mad-cow disease and more significantly, the bird-flu outbreak, tis really IS a season to be sick this new year...
On a lighter note, i think the new britney video is pretty nifty although i must confess i've always been an ardent anti-lobbyist of all things related to ms spears... The single Toxic may not be anything spectacular by itself, but when coupled with a sizzling james bond-esque video that could even make dame madonna proud, the only adjective i could think of to describe it would be -- HOt!! heck, one other good thing about it probably is the fact that britney's irritatingly nasal delivery is not distinct at all; she sounds more like a cross between holly valance & the sugababes. Could this herald a recovery in britney's waning credibility as an artiste??? i have no idea but it's rather ironic that the lines in her new single seem to mirror her battle to win over her critics;
"It's dangerous, I'm falling;
