All the 32 finalists have performed on our screens. Some have won our hearts; some have earned our respect because of their sheer talent while others had made us feel disillusioned.. (eg. i was soooo disappointed in the Roman brothers). A few others had made us cringe & grimace. Whatever the case may be, each of us (ie. all the AI fans out there) has his/her own favorites. Here is a list of my top five, most favorite performances thus far:
1. Latoya London's awe-inspiring vocal gymnastics on celine dion's All By Myself.
2. Leah Labelle's most original rendition of a popular song choice i.e. I Have Nothing. It was risky but her effort paid off...
3. Camille Velasco's emotionally engaging rendition of One LAst Cry.
4. Jennifer Hudson's powerful take of John lennon's Imagine.
5. Katie Webber's Orange Colored Sky; it wasnt spectacular but still an irrepressible showstopper.
The best group in the competition for this season has got to be Group Three. This is followed closely by Group One while Groups Four and Two are fighting for the "most disappointing group" title. The judges have already chosen twelve contestants for the wildcard show but only eight of them will eventually be performing for the cameras and simultaneously vie for the remaining four spots in the finals. The twelve wildcard contestants are:
Group One: Jennifer Hudson, Katie Webber, Marque Lynche, Matthew Metzger
Group Two: Lisa Leuschner
Group Three: Elizabeth LeTendre, Eric Yoder, Jon Peter Lewis, Leah LaBelle
Group Four: George Huff, Susie Vulaca, Tiara Purifoy
I think all of them deserve to be in the wildcard except perhaps the contestants from Group Four... :P I dont wanna make any conjectures at this point as to who will actually make it to the final twelve (although honestly speaking, i do have certain biases..); it's just too difficult to decide who should go and who should stay because all of them (except those from Grp Four of course) seem to possess some sort of potential... Oh well, thankfully, i'm not voting and neither am i one of the judges. LOL...
