i was giving tuition so i wasnt able to watch the results show just now but these are the final four wildcard choices to join the eight already selected from previous weeks;
Randy Jackson's pick was Jennifer Hudson & this was no surprise since Randy had claimed that she had the "best performance" during the wildcard show. I've no objections because she does have a powerful set of pipes and furthermore, the AI stylists might just give her a much-needed makeover. Let's start by burning those horrid pink frocks & nurse uniforms, shall we?? Muahahaha!
I've got no idea why Paula Abdul chose Leah Labelle as her wildcard choice... in a weird twist, AI enthusiasts may recall that Paula's wildcard pick was Trenyce for last season and the latter performed Let's Stay Together. Yup; that's the song Leah sang... Isn't that abit freaky???
Simon Cowell's choice though must be the most sensational, controversial & inexplicable. After showing much disapproval over George Huff's looks throughout the competition, he chose the latter as his wildcard. well, George is one lucky devil... However, Simon had certainly made a better pick as compared to last season (remember Carmen Rasmusen??).
JOn Peter Lewis was the last one to join the ranks of the final twelve (with 22% of the total votes), beating the likes of Elizabeth Letendre, Katie Webber, Suzie Vulaca and Matthew Metzger. I am abit sad that neither one of the blonde bombshells (i.e. ELizabeth or Katie) made it and i felt that Suzie deserved a spot on the final twelve somehow but hey, you cant have it all...
Therefore, it looks like we're gonna have four males and eight female finalists this year. In my honest opinion, i think this season will be a tough one; there're just too many likeable & competent singers around... and judging from last season's finalists, the wildcard contestants have as much chances to stay on 'til the very end as the other finalists (Runner-up Clay Aiken was a wildcard choice!). my legs are already shaking in their booties just thinking about how these young singers would be battling it out within the next few weeks... and most of them are only teenagers!! don't they have school or something??? LOL
