i'm not too sure what it was that woke me up this morning: the peculiar dream i was having or the ruckus made by the renovation works going on next-door. It's been quite awhile since i last had a dream which had some kind of impact on me but even as i am writing this, the last vestiges of it seem to be fading fast...
The dream: I think i was in a car, and my colleague was driving. The funny thing was, she was going to take me ice-skating at jurong east (attn: i dont know how to ice-skate!). We were having one of those amusing, nonsensical but completely meaningless banter when out of the rear-view window, i saw an old friend of mine (who was apparently waiting for me), wearing a frustrated expression on her face...
I think that's about it that i can remember; I cant seem to recall any other details accurately and thus, have decided not to write anymore about it lest i'll juz be making it up instead of actually recounting it...
Anywayz, a few songs have been entitled the privilege of being on my "Repeat" list on my jukebox, namely -
1. If you're not the one - daniel bedingfield
2. my immortal (daredevil soundtrack version) - evanescence
3. janji manismu - aishah
if i were to compile a list of my all-time favourite songs, these three would definitely be on it... I think i just like how, in each of them, i can find little phrases or combination of words which strike a chord within my heart. You know, the kind that rings with truth because you can relate to them so well... And no matter how incessantly they're played on the radio, on tv or on my own pc, I just cant (and wont) be sick of them. (Have you ever had that kind of feeling for any particular song/songs???)
Let's see. i think i can think of several others which i know i'll never (ever) get sick of..
4. reflection - christina aguilera
5. go the distance - michael bolton
6. foolish games - jewel
7. out here on my own - irene cara
8. mungkin - anuar zain
9. epiphany - staind
10. heaven knows - rick price
11. sarat - nizam
12. sedingin mana cintamu - dayang nurfaizah
13. percayalah - sheila majid
14. the rose - lee ann rimes
15. annie's song - john denver
16. i'll never get over you getting over me - expose
17. i have nothing - whitney houston
18. jangan bersedih lagi - anuar zain
19. over the rainbow - judy garland
20. someone to watch over me - sting
hmmm... i just realized that a vast majority of my "all-time favorites" are soppy, commercialized ballads. i'm such a bloordy wuss...
