my deepest condolences to a friend, whose father passed away unexpectedly yesterday. At moments such as this, the world may seem like a vast, cruel place... To lose someone you love so suddenly is like having a part of yourself amputated. It may seem cliched for me to say "I've been there before! I've experienced that!" yet it is nothing but absolute truth. More often than not, grief touches us during moments when we are the least prepared for it. But it can also change us.. for the better.
