haircut
Thursday, June 30, 2005

It was with great consternation when I went for my haircut yesterday at the nearby neighbourhood salon, because in my twenty-odd years of life, I've realised that as far as haircuts were concerned, they can either be:
a) a cathartic event that helps me to purge some of my emotional distress (with every snip of the scissors, I could imagine one problem being "snipped" away as well.. ;p )
OR b) an unmitigated disaster (i.e a haircut gone wrong), consequently leading to a week or more of anguish and regret.

Seriously though, I know I'm being a tad silly and whiney. I like to keep my hair relatively short due to the humid climate and it also saves me alot of hassle when I'm rushing off for an appointment or something. Besides, hair always grows back rite??? Nevertheless, despite my insistence of "not SO short please", I think the hairdresser chopped off too much and ergo, I look quite kiddy now. Heck, as I was leaving the salon after payment, the owner himself asked, "Have u finished your NS yet? Or just finished poly??" And here I thought that since I've been a regular there for almost half a decade, he should know, at least, some facts about me by now!

I couldn't decide if I should be disgruntled for being mistaken to be that young or just take it as a compliment and be smug about it. Hence, I mumbled some nondescript reply before making a hurried exit... *haizzz* Apa nak buat; terima sajalah hakikatnyer~!! LOL
