that was what I told one of my friends online just now via one of man's greatest inventions of all time, the instant messenging service, MSN. It's a friday night and thus, most of my friends/acquaintances aren't online; busy spending their pre-weekend evening enjoying themselves, no doubt.
And with Ramadhan just around the corner, what better excuse is there to pig out (or go out & party~) than now when you have the mentality "Nanti bulan depan dah TAK dapat makan banyak per" ... I've also started to compile a list of junk/unhealthy food (albeit subconsciously) of all the foodstuffs which I would wanna have for buka (ie. breaking fast) in the upcoming month. HEhe.. I know it isn't ethical and it's very childish of me.. But seriously, the thought of having a delicate slice of dengdeng for supper is making my knees go weak!! LOL
Anyway, I was flipping through today's Newpaper just now (flipping thru' is just about the only thing I have the time to do nowadays!) and I came across an article on page 24 which listed the results of a global vote conducted by Sony Ericcson recently. And the world's top 10 favorite songs are --
1) We Are The Champions - Queen
2) Toxic - Britney Spears
3) Billie Jean - Michael Jackson
4) Hotel California - The Eagles
5) La Tortura - Shakira
6) Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana
7) Yesterday - Beatles
8) One - U2
9) Imagine - John Lennon
10) Sultans of Swing - Dire Straits
I think it'a a pretty good list that includes evergreen classics as well as more recent chart-toppers; Numbers 9 and 6 especially, are my personal favorites.. How Britney Spears managed to get to no. 2 is a mystery... I think the ultimate form of torture for me is to lock me up in a windowless room that plays nothing else but songs by Britney Spears. Granted, Toxic has a catchy hook that works well in clubs and a killer pseudo-James Bond videoclip but then... Britney Spears???? The end of the world must be approaching... =p
