in cold blood -- a singapore story
Monday, March 06, 2006

Being an uncle to four adorable little nieces and a half-nephew, I find it impossible to fathom why some people detest kids so much.

Still, even such people, I supposed, would not cause grievous hurt to a small toddler such as two-year old Nurasyura Mohamed Fauzi. But someone did mortally harm poor little Nurasyura... And that someone isn't just any nameless stranger from the street, but her own step-father. Probably not her flesh-and-blood but someone whom she was familiar with, nevertheless.

He isn't human, I tell you. He can't be one.

It sickens me. The death sentence, surely, is too kind a retribution for a cold-blooded murderer such as he...

It makes me wonder though, if there are more individuals out there who would dare consider murdering an infant child as a means of achieving a despicable end. I shudder at the thought.
