It's just another manic Monday
I wish it was Sunday
'Cause that's my Fun-day
My I-don't-have-to-runday
It's just another manic Monday...
Not more than half an hour at work and I'm already wishing that I'm back at home right now, curled up on my mattress, fast asleep. Then again, that's what I think about every morning at work. LOlx. Anyway, the first line of aforesaid chorus and some semblance of its melody kept popping up in my head but I just can't recall who actually sang it. So, instead of doing something productive or relevant to work, I decided to google it up and then, lo and behold, I've discovered that it was sung by the Bangles in their debut album waaaaaaaaaaay back in 1984! FYI, the Bangles were also the original artistes for two other familiar works, namely, Eternal Flame and Walk Like An Egyption.

It's simply amazing what you can find out using google. Heck, I hardly read newspapers anymore, prefering instead to "google it up" whenever I need to update myself on current affairs. Need information fast and you think it could be found online? Simply google it and like magic, the info is yours within a few clicks. A quick check with hyperdictionary.com revealed the word "google" is used as a noun but seriously, I think it can be a verb as well. Googling. Googled. Going to google. Have you googled. (You get the picture...) However, the word does sound like it could mean something unpleasant or doing something unpleasant. Like you know how ogling isn't such a nice thing for you to be doing. Or drooling. But then, gurgling isn't exactly a negative activity -- i.e. gurgling mouthwash is a hygienic thing to do. And I'm being nonsensical.

As of this moment, I'm feeling sleepy and tired. Sleepy because I had less than four hours of sleep last night (if I add up the hours of sleep before sahur and after). Tired because.. erm.. at the thought of having so many chores to complete by Hari Raya, which is only EIGHT days away! Cleaning, cleaning, cleanning and MORE cleaning! It's making me cringe... (tapi blom buat pape dah penat seh.. LOL!)

How time flies. When Ramadhan started, I was whining about how unused I was to fasting and how lethargic I felt all the time. Now, with the fasting month ending soon, I almost wish that it wouldn't (end so soon, I mean), probably so that I won't have to start doing the gazillion things on my to-do list. *sigh*

Humans are such contradictory creatures, aren't they?
