when will the sun shine again

It has been raining alot recently. Yesterday was quite bad; it rained from afternoon 'til late evening, non-stop. Must really carry a brolly everywhere I go lest I may get caught in the rain and consequently, be at the mercy of a very nasty cold/flu.

Not only do we have gloomy skies, the news on the telly are pretty gloomy too. After being overwhelmed by the tragic dragon-boat accident last week (NewPaper headlines practically had it as their cover story for almost a week!), I suspect the next big deal would be the Omaha mall shoot-out which claimed the lives of eight innocent people. And the killer had the cheek to shoot himself at the end of it all too! The nerve!!!

And just moments ago, my (rarely) observant eye caught another tragedy on Yahoo! news, but this time in China; at least 70 people have died in a gas blast in a mine located within the Shanxi province, with 26 others still trapped. Nevertheless, I'm pretty sure the NewPaper wouldn't bother to feature this piece of news on their cover for even a day.

Tragedies happen. People die. Families deal with the loss of their loved ones. Life goes on.

For the rest of us bystanders, such moments are when we should take stock of our lives, and start counting our blessings. It's the intangible that matters.
